Mānoa Chocolate & Wine Bar

We visited here on a whim, and thank goodness we did! Sam did a great job teaching us about the regions each of the chocolates come from, the process of making the chocolate, and so much more! I'm so impressed with how much a small company has managed to raise so much money for the Maui fires relief. I'm so grateful we stumbled in here.

We did the chocolate tasting tour and it was really interesting to hear about the bean to bar manufacturing. My favorite portion was being able to understand how each bar was made and why each tasted differently! Would have liked to see someone make the chocolate while we were there however.

They have delicious chocolate with various flavours and we had a chance to taste many of them. Highly recommended and we will come back for chocolates and vine!

What a great experience! You are offered a free tour and tasting of their offerings from bean to bar. Unlike some of the other tours I’ve seen for chocolate that charges almost $80usd for your and tasting on the farm, this was much more comfortable in an ac environment. You’re greeted with chocolate tea made from the husk of the cacao beans and you go through the map of flavours of single origins of the island to flavoured chocolates. Even at 70% dark chocolate, the of the bar was silky smooth and velvety finish without any bitterness. The liliakoi (passion fruit) was my favourite flavoured chocolate that wasn’t white chocolate that still really shines with tart of the fruit and chocolate smooth finish. I ended up with 7 bars and you’re even given a complimentary cooler bag for your chocolates to keep it safe from the Hawaiian heat and sun. And YES, it’s cheaper than duty free!
